On the 49th anniversary of Tibetan National Uprising Day, monks, nuns and lay Tibetans in Lhasa protestested against Chinese illegal rule and occupation of Tibet. On the night of 14th March, Chinese military forces started killing Tibetans in Lhasa. Following days and months, the protest spread to other parts of Tibet like a wild fire. Three months later, the protests are continuing despite armed Chinese armies using brutal force to put down the uprisings against communist Chinese occupation of Tibet demanding Independence and return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Tibet. Till today, anti-Chinese protests have taken place in more than a hundred Tibetan areas. 203 Tibetans killed, more than 5714 arrested, and above 1000 injured since March 10 brutal crackdowns on the Tibetan uprising by the communist Chinese government.
